NDA Selection Procedure Detail: All the eligible
candidates who has 10+2 qualification can apply for the National Defence
academy exam. Few things are very essential to get into NDA. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) organize NDA (National Defence Academy) & NA (National Academy) Exam.
Written Exam
लिखित परीक्षा- Very first step to get into NDA is written exam.
To sit in the written exam you need to look for the application form
for NDA exam.
NDA Paper is divided into two sections:
- paper 1: Maths
- paper 2: English & General Ability
Paper 1: Mathematics
Total Time:
Total Marks: 300
Type: objective type
Paper 2: General Ability & English
Total Time:
Total Marks: 600
Type: objective type
Note: both the paper (maths and General ability, except English) are bilingual (Hindi and English Both).
Interview: (SSB)
About 4,50,000 applicants sit for each
written exam. Typically, about 6,300 of these are invited to interview.
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA & NA
Examination.
All the candidates who qualify in
written examination will be called for SSB Process. Who is known as most
embracing process to test the ability of candidates. It is similar to
CDS SSB and AFCAT SSB.

Lets break down the Interview process of NDA exam.
This step is divided into two parts – Stage 1 (day 1 ) and Stage 2 ( day 2- day 5)
Stage 1: Screening Test
On first day, you need to report for
screening test. Day 1, you will go through Officer Intelligence rating
Test, Picture perception and Discussion Test. The candidates will be
shortlisted based on combination of performance in QIR Test and PP and
DT. All the qualified candidates who qualify, need to go for next day
for further evaluation, rest need to leave back to home.
Stage 2 (Day 2 -5)- (Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, Conference)
All the stage 1 qualified candidates
need to go through stage 2 which comprises of Interview, Group Testing
Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and Conference. You need to appear for
psychological test which is a a written test conducted by a
Psychologist.
Also you need to go through interviews
which involves a personal conversation with an Interviewing Officer who
will judge you based on various parameters. All the exams and evaluation
will be taken by experts i.e Interviewing Officer (IO), Group Testing
Officer (GTO)and the Psychologist.
On day 2, All the flying branch candidates, will go through CPSS / PABT (Computerised Pilot Selection System/Pilot Aptitude Battery Test).
Final day is conference
day: Basically on conference day, all the officers who evaluated you
(Psychologist, Ground Testing Officer and the Interviewing Officer) will
decide on you personality and decide on whether to recommend you or
not.
