First President’s Gold medalist winner NDA Cadet

As the 114th batch of cadets passed out from the National Defence Academy (NDA), there was something special about the cadet who commanded the Passing Out Parade as he made history in more than one way.
A farmer's son from Manipur, 21-year-old Yumnam Romen Singh was the first cadet from the Northeast to win the President's Gold Medal and to have the honour of commanding the Passing Out Parade in May 2008.
A big smile on his face saying it all as he posed for photographs along with his parents and siblings after the parade.

Singh, who was from a remote village in Manipur called Lamgmeidong, proudly declared that he was the first person to become a commissioned officer in the armed forces from within a periphery of ten kilometres around his native place.
"My father inspired and motivated me to join the Armed Forces. He is a farmer, but he always wanted me to be in the Armed Forces. He sent me to Sainik School in Imphal and got the application form for the NDA," he said.
The eldest among three brothers, Singh, who is an evidence of the changing profile of the NDA cadets from urban to rural and from high-income to low-income -- said he has now become an inspiration for his siblings as also other youth from his village to join the Armed Forces.

In all, 286 cadets of the 114th course of the NDA passed out and while Singh was awarded the Gold Medal on that ceremony cadets Y N Hirekar and K Laur won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
There were 14 foreign other cadets from Tajikistan and Bhutan -- among the graduates.
Singh, who has opted for the Indian Air Force (IAF), also expressed the hope that his becoming a commissioned officer would remove the prejudices that people of his region have about the Armed Forces.

How is life at the NDA?

Be clear around a certain something. I have constantly talked great about NDA, yet I am will answer this inquiry first saying why it doesn't SEEM so great.

At  first, NDA will appear like hellfire. All preparation looks like torture. Getting up at 3:30 am is absolutely ordinary, every day. In your preparation, seniors can and WILL mortify you in the event that you fall flat at first or regardless of whether you get harmed. You will feel as though they are absolutely cruel, dispassionate and hopeless. They even call you "kid" once in a while. You will feel like a PoW (Prisoner of War). And afterward you will need to backpedal home, see your relatives, take a stab at carrying on with the purported valued life once more. Furthermore, on the off chance that you have a go at fleeing, you will be brought back, AT ANY COST

Be that as it may, recollect, you aren't the main cadet to experience this. And such an excess of preparing will be your important resource for the duration of your life. This preparation will never go squander. This preparation will make you a MAN out of a kid. Your coaches are not vain; they just put on a show to be so.

Since they need you to be the best.

What's more, given me a chance to let you know. When you build up an uplifting state of mind for this, you will get acquainted with the military train rapidly. You will begin getting a charge out of life at NDA. At break time, you seniors will be inviting with you.

  • I can wager you a certain something. When you go out of NDA, you will value the recollections forever. All cadets are much the same as your second family. Everyone is prepared to help each other.
  • Also, you do get-always at NDA, as well. In the wake of finishing each semester or something like that.
  • Life at NDA is noteworthy. No individual will ever have anything negative to consider NDA once he goes out. No special cases; each ex-cadet will be loaded with applaud for the NDA.
  • NDA is one institute which should prepare you to flawlessness, as well as which will ensure you recall it forever.

So guys  in the event that you need to welcome this vital life at that point come and join the best coaching  center  named DELHI CAREER GROUP IN CHANDIGARH. We have an awesome record of our successors. Consistently 9/10 hopefuls are chosen from our establishment.
